Cindi has been teaching music lessons to students of all ages since 1989. She teaches the early preschool beginning student to the advanced college bound student. She teaches a variety of styles including pop, jazz, blues, classical, and rock. She is the creator of Music Fun Time a preschool piano, guitar, and drum program designed to teach the young student music concepts through fun music games and applied lessons on each instrument.
As a performer, Cindi has recorded two original contemporary Christian CDs and toured the country performing concerts.
She has been a worship leader and music director for several large churches where she used her talents to lead worship through singing and accompanying herself with her guitar or piano. She has also rehearsed bands, choirs, teen bands, and orchestrated and performed special Christmas and Easter musicals for churches.
Cindi studied Music Theory at the Community College of Southern Nevada where she earned high honors each semester.
She studied jazz at Clark County Community College and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she studied jazz with David Loeb, director of jazz studies. She also played in ACC's big band jazz ensemble under the direction of Tom Husack for two semesters and she participated in two semesters with the jazz ensemble under the direction of Scott Cain. She has also participated in Jamey Aebersold's summer jazz camp which is an intense week long study in jazz theory and jazz ensemble playing.
Cindi has been a member of the National Guild Association and a past member of the Music Teacher's National Association. She also served on the board of the Christian Songwriter's Fellowship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cindi was the owner and builder of Premier Music Academy from 2013-2018. Cindi and her husband built the Academy to facilitate students into becoming musicians by special rock band programs, lessons, and mentoring students to reach their musical aspirations and goals.
